This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth setup and ongoing support of PC-based computers and related equipment. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, experience, and strong documentation skills to install and repair hardware/software, as well as resolve technical problems efficiently.As a Desktop Technician, you will work closely with our data center team and end-users to provide top-notch IT support. Your day-to-day activities will include troubleshooting hardware and software issues, assisting with network cabling, and ensuring all IT systems are running smoothly. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of building and maintaining critical infrastructure in a dynamic data center environment.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist with network cabling in the data center setup processDiagnose and repair hardware and software issues on client PCs and mobile devicesInstall, troubleshoot, and maintain software for clientsComplete necessary internal and client-related documentationInstall, configure, and repair network and local printersTrain clients on basic computer knowledgeCommunicate and interact with end users and internal staff to resolve IT-related issuesWork effectively in both team environments and independentlyManage ticket aging and response times to usersMaintain a positive and proactive attitude with the customer's best interest in mindRequired Experience/SkillsAdvanced knowledge of PC desktop supportAdvanced knowledge of local and network printer supportBasic knowledge of networkingExcellent customer service-related skillsBasic knowledge of ticket-based tracking systemsMinimum of three (3-6) years experience with Windows and MacOS troubleshooting in a professional settingMinimum of three (3-6) years experience with Microsoft Azure and M365 administrationExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsValid driver's license and dependable transportationAbility to work some nights and weekends as requiredMust be able to lift 50 poundsNice-to-HavesCertification in Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, Security FundamentalsCertification in Dell HardwareAssociate Degree in Computer Science or equivalentITIL v3 certificationExperience working in a data center environmentKnowledge of data center infrastructure and operationsEducationMinimum: High School Diploma or equivalentPreferred: Associate Degree in Computer Science or related fieldPay & Benefits SummaryCompetitive hourly rate starting at $30/hourLong-term contract position with potential for extensionOpportunities for professional development and certificationsFlexible scheduling to accommodate occasional night and weekend workComprehensive training programCollaborative and innovative work environment in a cutting-edge data centerJoin our team and be part of building the future of data center technology!
