Job Description
The BAE Systems Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) is looking for a SecOps-inspired full stack developer. This developer will solve complex cyber defense challenges by creating custom applications integrating with other state-of-the-art defense systems. These solutions would often be needed rapidly and focused on automation, detection, and data collection. The developer will also work closely with and develop solutions for other teams on the GSOC including Operations, Threat Intelligence, Malware Analysis, Endpoint Threat Detection, and Insider Threat.Technical Requirements
Ability to quickly learn new technologies and programming languagesStrong background in software developmentDiverse experience in system management, database design, backend development, and frontend developmentAbility to deploy and manage applications on Linux-based servers and containersAbility to document code and solutionsEligibility to obtain/maintain a security clearanceAbility to communicate and work effectively with other developers and security analystsRequired Education, Experience, & Skills
Must have a Bachelor's Degree and 2-4 years work experience or equivalent experienceSoftware Development, Computer Security, or Computer Science DegreeCertifications related to development or security such as CIW certificates, Project+, OSCP, etc…Must have knowledge with cyber security and/or penetration testingExperience in leading development projects, agile sprints, etc…Full stack development experienceLinux and containerization experienceAlthough we do not require specific language or technology experience, we prefer the following:Containerization: Docker, Docker ComposeVirtualization & Infrastructure: AWS, VMWare vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, FlatCar OSInfrastructure Management: Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible, Salt, NagiosDatabases: MongoDB, Redis, MySQL/MariaDBBackend: Rust, Python, NodeJS, Flask, Express, WebsocketsFrontend: TypeScript, React, SassOS: Linux in general, RHEL, Ubuntu
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $73350 - $124740
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
