Hello,Role: Senior Windows EngineerLocation : Richmond VAContractPosition SummaryAs a Senior Engineer, you are expected to be able to work collaboratively with team members to suggest configuration options and understand tradeoffs between options as well as assist n-tier Application Owners with configuration, implementation and troubleshooting as it pertains to Windows Server and Active Directory.The core infrastructure technology duties include enterprise Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Certificate Services, Group Policy configuration, Microsoft Windows Server administration, Microsoft Key Management Services, and top-level support for enterprise-wide initiatives.Peripheral knowledge in how common systems interact with Windows Server and Active Directory is helpful in performing senior level functions.These common systems include database management systems, SAMBA, Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS), Apache Tomcat, IBM WebSphere, Microsoft Entra integrations with Active Directory, DevOps, networking fundamentals, and VMWare.Skills and QualificationsActive Directory configuration, management, and troubleshooting [expert-level]Expert knowledge in creating, administering, and troubleshooting Group Policies (GPOs) [expert-level]Windows Certificates Services Management [expert-level]Windows Server Operating Systems (2012 R2 to 2022) configuration, management, and troubleshooting [mid-expert level]Windows Failover Clustering [mid-level]Windows file shares and security administration [mid-level]Both physical and virtual Windows Server administration.Scripting Experience: PowerShell [mid-level]Ensure systems adherence and compliance with DJIT security standards and practices.Document, update, and manage tickets within the courts ticketing systems.Ensure system outages are communicated to all designated stakeholders using established procedures.Be able to independently research issues via product documentation and the Internet.Lifelong learning - the candidate will be expected to continue broadening and deepening their skills as technology and organizational needs change.Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate or equivalent experience.Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology or equivalent experience.5+ years of Windows Server/AD experience, preferred.Experience with Network Storage applications Network Attached Storage (NAS), or NetApp.Ability to solve complex hardware and software issues.Excellent interpersonal skills.Good written and verbal communication skills.Organized and capable of working in a dynamic, team-driven environment.
