Geometric Solutions is actively seeking an Applications Engineer to join our team! This position can be a hybrid position commuting to our Troy, MI office, or 100% remote for non-local candidates.
Responsibilities
Report to Geometric Solutions Managing Director
Provide technical sales support (Pre & Post sales)
Create demos and present them to customers based on various functions
Develop and present technical training
Construct proposals and estimate applicable hours
Customer Relationship Management: Write reports and communicate results, issues, & recommendations to the customer
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent work experience.
Knowledge of Siemens products such as NX, Teamcenter, Tecnomatix: Process Designer, Process Simulate, Plant Simulation, and VSA.
Understanding and/or experience in the Design and Manufacturing process
Experience in project management and customer support.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Basic understanding of CAD/CAM
Excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Problem-solving experience in a manufacturing plant setting.
Understanding of Discrete Event Simulation.
Understanding of Robotic Systems and Automation.
