PC Refresh Technician

Job Description

These roles will be assisting a PC refresh project for laptops that will be replacing former models for end users. Wilmer does a project like this every 3 years and the new machines will be replacing outdated models. The Deployment Technicians will need to help with the unboxing, imaging, inventory management, deployment, and packing up of old laptops for the first half of the project.

Once completed, the Deployment Technicians will assist in the second half of the project that will be migrating desktops over to laptops for remote employees. This will involve working closely with hardware components of the desktop and migrating data and software onto laptops to be distributed to the remote employees of the firm.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Familiarity with the following:

PC hardware, Docustations, ports, monitors, imaging machines

Receiving a box of components, assembling them, and setting it up to the system

Networking

Internet connectivity points

Working with end users to troubleshoot any issues

Customer Service

Ability to follow scripts and directions
