Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Software Engineer to support our Federal Client's Mission and sit in Aberdeen, MD. Joining a growing team, this individual will leverage their experience within Windows, Linux, VMWare, ect. to aid in the research, design, development, and modification of enterprise-wide systems or applications software supporting the Armys tactical network. As a true software engineer, you will primarily work within agile methodology to evaluate the interface between the current hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of the overall system.
Compensation:
$49hr to $69hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements
· Active DoD Secret Clearance
· BA or BS degree or equivalent
· 2-4+ years of experience
· Experience developing, and maintaining scripts to automate system administration. (PowerShell, Python, Batch or Perl)
· Experience with object-oriented programming languages (C#, C++, or C)
· Experience utilizing version control systems (Git)
· Knowledge of Agile Methodology
· Experience with Windows configuration, Windows Server, Linux, VMWare ESXi , Palo Alto
· Experience with researching, designing, developing, or modifying enterprise-wide systems or applications software.
· Experience with planning of system and development deployment and maintaining responsibility for meeting software compliance standards · Experience with scripting and automation technologies (ex. PowerCLI, VBScript, eXtensible Markup Language (XML), Java Script Object Notation (JSON), Representational State Transfer (REST), and Azure Development Operations (ADO))
· Experience with the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit
· Experience with Visual Studio
· Experience with controlling and configuring networking devices via SSH (Putty or similar)
· Experience with Open-Source libraries and documentation null
