Opportunity Overview

We are looking for Hardware Test Engineer Intern or Co-Op that epitomizes technical and operational excellence. You’ll be working simultaneously on multiple projects in different phases. You must be able to learn and demonstrate strong debugging, troubleshooting, validation and defect analysis skills. You are responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.

You will be a member of NPI Pilot Team within Teradyne Nextest San Jose.

Work under Pilot Test engineer’s supervision on new products design and build phases from prototype to production.

Engage with Test Engineer to verify design, create test procedure for PCBA Bench Test, board test, functional test.

Able to sort out problem’s root cause either by hardware or software related. Presenting the case to appropriate group to get help.

Learn and Work along with cross functional teams to define the test strategy, implement and optimize test setup/processes at the CM including qualification of test fixtures, test equipment and test software

Assist the root-cause analysis

Third- or fourth-year students of bachelor’s degree or student pursuing master’s degree in electrical or Mechatronics Engineering Degree or related field.

Must have ability to work with cross-functional teams and independently

Ability to communicate with cross functional team on technical issues

Recognition of when a problem must be escalated is also critical

Available to work on-site in San Jose, CA

Understanding of Hardware sub-systems, circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment

Experience using standard lab test equipment and functions (Oscilloscope, function generator, multimeter, voltmeters, LCR meter etc.)

Be able to physically lift 30 pounds.
