Peoplelink Staffing Solutions in partnership with a prominent client in Palatine within the manufacturing industry.
We are looking for a friendly passionate person to join a great team as a Material Handler. A charismatic person who loves to be detail orientated organized, punctual, and working in an industrial environment.
Material Handling: Receive, unload, and store incoming materials, ensuring proper handling and storage procedures are followed to prevent damage or loss.Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts, inventory checks, and data entry into inventory management systems.Order Picking: Fulfill orders by accurately picking, packing, and preparing materials for shipment requirements and shipping schedules.Material Movement: Use forklifts, pallet jacks, tugger trucks, and other equipment to safely transport materials within the warehouse or distribution center.Loading and Unloading: Load and unload trucks, containers, and other vehicles, ensuring that shipments are properly secured and handled to prevent damage.Quality Assurance: Inspect materials for damage, defects, or discrepancies, and report any issues to supervisors for resolution.Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), safe operating practices for equipment, and compliance with OSHA regulations.Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including storage areas, and shipping/receiving areas, to ensure safety and efficiency.
