*Entry-Level Cable Technician - Data Center Installation**Description:*Join a dynamic team in setting up a new data center by installing and maintaining essential cabling infrastructure. Key responsibilities include:- Layout and install wireway, buss duct, cable trays, switches, receptacles, and other devices.- Build and organize telecommunications closets, including mounting and installing backboards, cross-connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optics, and related hardware.- Install grounding systems for racks, equipment, and cables as required.- Perform IDC connections, including terminating 110/66 blocks and patch panels.- Pull wire and oversee conduit installations and wire pulling operations.- Operate a variety of tools and equipment requiring manual dexterity, such as cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, and more.*Required Skills:*- Cat5/Cat6 installation and maintenance- Copper and fiber optic cabling- Rack and stack, structured cabling, and blueprint interpretation- OSHA 10 certification (Or willingness to obtain) , scissor lift operation, and conduit installations- Familiarity with cable trays, cable pulling, and fiber optic terminations* Tools & Equipment:*- Proficient use of essential tools: screwdriver (regular and Phillips), drywall saw, torpedo level, tape measure, snips (with belt sheath), pliers (needle nose and channel locks), hammer, cable stripper, flashlight, and gloves.* Additional Requirements:*- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs- Valid driver's license- Strong understanding of blueprint interpretation and project documents, including specifications and quality requirements- Familiarity with universal communications color codes* Experience Level:*Entry LevelEligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
