Position Description

Develops and implements data security architecture for on-premises, SaaS, and cloud. Performs database migrations with tools like Redshift and Synapse. Builds and maintains Enterprise Strategy documents for database/Data Lake Security. Supports Snowflake Data Lake, BigID platform, Data Protection, Data security, Data Tokenization, Data discovery and Classification using different tools like BigID Collibra, Alation, home grown solutions. Integrates the BigID product to Data Lake and native databases like oracle, postgres, SQL to discovery and classify the data as per the business unit s needs. Works on Snowflake Data Lake cloud analytics platform security/audit.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leads the development of software applications using client-side, server-side, and Cloud Service Provider technologies.
  • Drives overall technical and end-to-end solution architecture.
  • Creates highly reliable, scalable, solutions and software applications that deliver key business value.
  • Researches and communicates risks related to enterprise data assets in databases in support of the strategic direction of the business unit.
  • Analyzes data privacy controls against internal policies as well as industry regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Advises senior management on emerging information technology threats.
  • Analyzes information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system.
  • Designs, develops, and modifies software systems, using scientific analysis to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design.
  • Develops and directs software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.
  • Stay informed on enterprise initiatives to help to the product owners in the data space.
  • Keep analyzing existing data lake security designs and comes up with new solutions for the data lake.
  • Periodically review all data lake access controls and prepare the plan for remediating solutions if there are any.

Education and Experience

Bachelor s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field and six (6) years of experience as a Director, Architecture (or closely related occupation) architecting, building designing data security and privacy solutions for snowflake data lake, on-prem/ cloud databases.

Or, alternatively, Master s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field and four (4) years of experience as a Director, Architecture (or closely related occupation) architecting, building designing data security and \u00A0privacy solutions for snowflake data lake, on-prem/ cloud databases.

Skills and Knowledge

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise (\u201CDE\u201D) in designing and building snowflake data lake data security and protecting the data by implementing the data security controls; and defining standards, policies, and technology implementation guides.
  • DE in designing a solution for data security monitoring controls using Jsonar tool, python scripts, snowflake SQL scripts, AWS services and expertise in addressing external and internal audits.
  • DE in researching and communicating security risks related to enterprise snowflake data lake and on-prem/cloud databases like oracle, db2, and postgres; and using tools BigID, Alation, Collibra architecting data security and governance controls.
  • DE in architecting, building and implementing home grown data tokenization using Java; and designing and building FPE based tokenization solutions for data in cloud and on-prem.
