Account Manager

Retain a book of business by understanding the insurance market and developing relationships within the business and brokerage communities. Maintaining advanced understanding of strategic positioning and pricing of all rate models in the market place to include self-funding, reinsurance, and alternative funding mechanisms. The Account Manager will serve as the primary contact for assigned brokers and employer groups for all service needs

Associates degree in a related area, plus 3 years of experience. 3 years of additional experience can be substituted in lieu of degree 2 years of application specific experience.PLEASE NOTE: This Position Requires New Mexico State Health and HMO License or obtain within 90 days of hire. CANDIDATES WHO ARE SELECTED FOR THE POSITION MUST SIGN AN AGREEMENT TO OBTAIN THIS CREDENTIALResponsibilities

Sells and retains commercial membership in assigned territory at a minimum level of monthly quota.Provide excellent service to customers and stakeholders using proven methods and processes supported by the Sales Department which include: continually search for ways to improve customer/client service; impress customers with exceptional service; seek feedback from customers; track performance against customer requirements; address customer needs by involving the right people at the right time and follow up to ensure problems are resolved; and effectively balance the interests of a variety of customers.Maintain and develop comprehensive product and industry knowledge including knowledge and understanding of laws and regulations affecting insurance practices.Effectively presents and communicates verbally and in written form to a wide variety of audiences. Express one-self to provide information to others effectively and recognize required communication styles.Understand advanced and complex pricing models, comprehensive benefit structures and funding mechanisms.Analyze market position to create specific strategies associated with service and retention of a specific book of business
