GCP Platform Engineer - Operations
to join our team in Addison, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).Job Responsibilities Include:Lead complex technology Cloud initiatives, including those that are companywide, with broad impactAct as a key contributor in automating the provisioning of Cloud Infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)Make decisions in developing standards and best practices for engineering and large-scale technology solutionsDesign, optimize, and document the engineering aspects of the Cloud platformLead and share understanding of industry best practices and how new technologies influence the Cloud technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiativesReview and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions in Cloud for strategic business objectives and solving technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple parameters, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factorsCollaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goalsBuild and enable Cloud infrastructure, automate the orchestration for GCP for EnterpriseWork in a globally distributed team and provide innovative and robust Cloud centric solutionsClosely work with Product Team and vendors to develop and deploy Cloud services to meet customer expectationsCollaborate with architects, developers, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of cloud-based systemsGather and analyze data to diagnose the root cause of Cloud issues, recommend and implement solutions to resolve issues in timely mannerBasic Qualifications:5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education3+ years working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and a proven track record of building complex infrastructure programmatically with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools2+ years of hands-on experience with IaC tools Terraform and GitHubPreferred Skills:Strong understanding of GCP networking services, such as Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Cloud Virtual Private Network (VPN), Cloud Interconnect, Virtual Network (Vnet) and Cloud Load BalancingKnowledge and understanding of Cloud service offerings such as Data, Analytics, AI/ML on GCPDemonstrated experience on at least three of the following key services: Big Query, Composer, Vertex AI,Document AI, Agent Builder, DataProc, Data Catalog, NotebookIn-depth knowledge of network protocols, security, and compliance standardsExperience with scripting and automation tools for network provisioning and configurationKnowledge and understanding of Cloud service offerings on Security, Data Protection and Security policy implementationsBasic understanding of Cloud computing concepts like landing zone and BlueprintsProficient on container-based solution services, have handled 2-3 large scale Kubernetes based infrastructure build out, provisioning of services in Azure or GCPExperience in scripting (Shell, Python)Good understanding of networking, firewalls, load balancing concepts (IP, DNS, Guardrails,Vnets) and exposure to database, cloud security, AD, authentication methods,RBAC#INDFINS#L1-NAMAbout NTT DATANTT DATA is a $30 billion trusted global innovator of business and technology services.
