Our client, a leader in their industry, has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Data Modeler to work on a 12+ month contract position in Westlake, TX, or Smithfield, RI. The pay rate is in the $60 to $64/hour range. This position is available for w-2 only. It is a hybrid role, with onsite work required every other week. Candidates local to the Metro Dallas, TX, area or the Metro Providence, RI, area are highly preferred. No travel is required.Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with data engineering and business teams to design and build scalable data models.* Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models, ensuring consistency and adherence to best practices.* Analyze business requirements to ensure data models meet performance and reporting needs.* Coach and mentor a team of data modelers to ensure adherence to standards.* Work closely with the business to build flexible models that enhance product offerings and time to market.Experience Requirements:
* Strong experience with data modeling (Conceptual, Logical, Physical, 3NF, Dimensional).* Ability to work with data modeling tools like Powerdesigner, Oracle Designer, or Erwin.* Solid SQL skills for querying and analyzing data.* Experience working with Data Engineering and Data Analytics teams.* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including explaining data structures to non-technical audiences.Preferred Skills:* PowerDesigner* OLTP - Online Transaction Processing
