Project Description:Seeking a Senior Application Developer to help support the development of an application utilizing AWS Serverless and cloud services. Candidate must have expert knowledge (i.e., demonstrates comprehensive understanding and is viewed as a subject matter expert in the following areas: cloud technology platforms (specifically AWS), programming, cloud security/recovery, cloud tools/services, DevOps, and database management. Period of Performance: Until 12/31/2024 with the possibility of renewal. Performance Location: Washington, DC.
Qualification Requirements:Working experience with Agile development methodology and roles along with experience utilizing CI/CD for building and deploying cloud applications with the Python language for backend services and Angular front-end development is important for this role. Experience working as a developer writing Python code along with the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) required to deploy with AWS CDK. Experience modeling business processes in AWS Step-Functions. Experience developing container-based applications utilizing REST APIs for web-based applications written with either Angular or React in Typescript. Experience utilizing AWS CloudWatch and AWS CloudTrail for logging events and audit messages, for operating in a highly regulated environment. **U.S. citizenship is a requirement.** Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field and six years of experience.
Skills Requirements:Candidate must have the following skill requirements: Python, AWS Lambda, AWS Step-Functions, AWS CDK, GIT, Docker, AWS CloudTrail, CloudWatch, DynamoDB, Angular Web UI, AWS API Gateway, AWS Load Balancer, AWS S3, Application Containers hosted with AWS Fargate, Typescript, Athena, Glue, Experience working in AWS GovCloud.
Responsibilities:The responsibilities will include: Contributing to the design of the code they will be responsible for implementing along with the required documentation. Be responsible for remediation and unit testing of code when issues arise as part of the CI/CD, application development, and user deployment process. Additionally, candidate must be able to work effectively with staff and have experience working as part of an Agile team.
