TravelPosition Description: 1. General job duties / types of procedures required:

The Nursing Resource Team is a hospital-wide float department that serves the Medical Surgical, Behavioral Health and Progressive Care service lines. If needed, NRT will also float to the ED to take Med/Surg boarded patients.

- Float RN for the Med/Surg, Behavioral Health (Adult Acute and Youth Acute), and Progressive Care service lines.

2. Equipment utilized in the unit/department:

- KBH/YA Restraint board (will be covered in General onboarding Restraint-C)- Lifts (will be covered in general onboarding)

3. Required skills, minimum years of experience, and/or education:

- Graduate of a nationally accredited Nursing program- 1 year of experience in Medical Surgical- 1 year of experience in PCU/Intermediate Care- 1 year of experience in Behavioral Health (Adult and Youth Acute)- Experience with cardiac drips- Experience with non-invasive ventilation

4. Required licensures, certificates/registrations, and/or life support certifications:

- Department of Health & Welfare Background Fingerprinting is required (Behavioral Health)- State of ID (or compact) RN license- BLS AHA- ACLS AHA

- MOAB-8-hour class KBH/YA (will be covered in general onboarding)- Boundaries 1-hour module (will be covered in general onboarding)

5. Shift or schedule requirements (please include shift times & durations, hours/week, if candidate will ever work alone, call requirements, weekend/holiday requirements, etc.):

- 12-hour shifts 0700-1930 / 1900-0730- Schedule dependent upon unit needs- Every other weekend required

6. Floating to other units/departments:

NRT float RNs and traveler RNs have a consistent schedule and know when they work; the unit RNs will receive a message 2 hours prior to their shift, telling them on which unit they are assigned. NRT can float mid-shift, if needed.

- Float to ED to take Med Surg boarded patients- Float to other Med Surg units- Float to Behavioral Health (Adult Acute and Youth Acute) inpatient psychiatric units- Float to PCU

7. Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/department:

- 21-35 beds, depending upon the unit in which they are working

8. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit (nursing only):

- Med/Surg & ED boarded Med/Surg: 1:5-6- PCU: 1:3-4- Behavioral Health (Adult/Youth Acute): 1:5-6 days / 1:10 overnightsAbout Summit Medical Staffing Allied
