About the Role & TeamThe Walt Disney Company (TWDC) seeks a Director, Organizational Development to join the Organizational Development Center of Excellence. This team is a highly visible group within Enterprise HR that plays an integral part in supporting key business initiatives across TWDC. The ideal candidate will be an advisor to HR and business leaders with a bias towards action and impact. The ideal candidate must be comfortable being dropped into ambiguous situations and able to quickly support the team in leading change, transformation, and business results. To be present with our business leaders and HR partners, this role is based in one of the primary business locations domestically and dual reports to the two VPs, Organizational Development.What You Will DoAs a Director, Organizational Development, you will lead (directly and indirectly) a small team of highly-skilled organizational development leaders, and advise business leaders to identify, define, and deliver against multiple strategic projects that drive global business performance across divisions, functions, and/or geographies. You will collaborate, facilitate, and assess the business to improve ways of working. This role will also work across boundaries, functions, and geographies to improve the efficiency of the broader organization.Responsibilities:Drive key priorities for the Disney Entertainment – Studios OD function, while supporting business priorities across the Company as needed.Advise the most senior business leaders, OD leaders, and HR Business Partners to proactively and practically assess needs, develop recommendations, and lead projects to improve the performance and decision-making of leaders, teams, and organizations.Deliver OD expertise to a variety of projects with senior leaders throughout Disney Entertainment – Studios and across TWDC, including strategy development, organization assessment, organization design, change and transition management, and culture transformation across a diverse set of clients.Continually develop and apply broad organizational knowledge to address TWDC and Segment business and interpersonal challenges by recognizing patterns through an enterprise and systems thinking mentality.Leverage project management, relevant data, and leadership skills to simplify and facilitate complex work and maintain partner alignment; develop project schedules, plans, and timelines.Continually invest in self-development and the evolution of the OD field by remaining current with new developments, technologies, industry trends, and innovations.Build trust and collaborate with teams in a global and virtual environment; Partner and follow through effectively with HR Business Partners and OD leaders across the Company to transfer knowledge and skills, handling confidential information with integrity.Lead and develop other Organization Development team members formally and informally through mentorship, project oversight, and the ability to influence without direct authority.Optimally prioritize resources and ensure speed in delivering high-impact work across a diverse set of businesses.Required Qualifications & SkillsMinimum 10 years of Organization Development, Change Management, Human Capital consulting, or related experience, ideally with a global company.Ability to effectively and pragmatically apply Organization Development and organizational change approaches to meet business and stakeholder needs.Confirmed analytical, diagnostic, synthesis, consulting, and problem-solving skills to recommend solutions to critical business and interpersonal issues.High degrees of initiative, creativity, and agility in approach to work.Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and storytelling skills.Must be capable of presenting information concisely, proactively, and unassumingly to multidimensional audiences at all levels.Excellent project management skills with an ability to lead projects from inception through completion while bringing partners along.Support a culture of continuous improvement while designing pragmatic solutions to integrate, align, and advance enterprise priorities.Demonstrates integrity, adaptability, solution orientation, altruism, big-picture thinking, and persistence in times of uncertainty and/or conflict.Sets the standard on performance for themselves and team/partners, inspiring others to go above and beyond.The hiring range for this position in Burbank, California is $197,700.00-$241,500.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
