Mobile Crisis Counselors

to provide the following services:Provide community based mobile crisis intervention and case management services to children and families within the community who are suffering from psychotic crises with the sole purpose of providing stabilization and preventing hospitalization.Provide assessment, treatment planning, direct counseling, case management, discharge planning and follow-up to children and families experiencing mental health crises.Will have scheduled and flexible availability, as well as weekly on-call rotation to facilitate 24-hour coverage.Provide comprehensive written and verbal documentation as required.Work individually and within a team setting.Travel throughout community and potentially to local sites (Loudoun County, Fairfax, Alexandria, Prince William County & Arlington)Facilitates wraparound team meetings to enlist existing supports in determining and meeting service objectives and to identify additional resources and supports.Prepares written service plan, incorporating input from clients, involved service providers, and wraparound team members, and clearly identifying problem areas and needs, strategies, and service objectives.Qualifications:Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in the human services field from an accredited college or university with at least one year of clinical experience with children or adolescents.Current license eligibility or QMHP-C registration from the Virginia Department of Health Professions and able to successfully complete the required pre-employment screenings.Due to travel requirements must have valid Driver’s License with a good driving record.National Counseling Group is seeking qualified (QMHP- C, Resident in Counseling or Licensed)full-time Mobile Crisis Counselors to provide community-based crisis intervention services throughout the Northern Virginia area.National Counseling Group (NCG, an ncgCARE, Inc. partner) is the premier provider of community-based behavioral health services in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
