This position requires basic medical/surgical knowledge to care for general surgical and orthopedic surgical patients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:(30%)* Regularly assesses patient's/client's needs and provides skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician authorized plan of care, and accepted standards of nursing practice.(30%)* Provides direct resident care, including medication administration, treatments, call lights, assisting with transfers, responding to alarms, etc.(20%)* Evaluates effectiveness of treatment plan and makes suggestions or participates in updating/revising the treatment plan in collaboration with other team members, utilizing current information to improve patient care.(10%)* Processes physician/provider orders and performs physician ordered care accurately, completely and in a timely manner.(10%)* Follows up regarding medication changes and order clarifications.SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS1+ Year of Med Surg Experience - RequiredBLS & ACLS (AHA) - RequiredProfile Requirements:Work HistorySkills Checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to specialty2 Supervisory Reference Forms, taken within the last two yearsCandidates Permanent Address (Facility will not consider local candidates - 50 mile radius restriction)CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTSACLS (AHA)BLS (AHA)STATE LICENSE REQUIREMENTSMichiganADDITIONAL LICENSE REQUIREMENTSActive at time of submission!ABOUT THE FACILITYMyMichigan Medical Center-Midland is a 328-bed, non-profit hospital in Midland, MI.
