Software Engineer

Franklin Templeton Institutional LLC seeks a Software Engineer in New York, NY to work in UI development within Python and React Javascript, ensuring seamless integration and delivering intuitive user interfaces to enhance user experience and productivity in custom applications. Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent and two (2) years of experience building data pipelines to ingest market data from Bloomberg and FactSet into inhouse data warehouse; developing and architecting quantitative financial software using Object Oriented design principles in Java, Python and C#; designing and developing independent models and tools using Python and Matlab to optimize trading strategies; identifying and tracking metrics for trading systems using SQL, C#, C++, and Java and utilizing Bloomberg, DataStream, and Charles River APIs; maintaining data tables and schemas utilizing SQL; designing financial trading platforms with OOPs, Python, C#, and PostgreSQL; and designing and developing metrics for data quality measures in trading systems. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies.
