We are looking for a Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based applications and services for our organization. You will work with leading cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud to build scalable, secure, and efficient cloud environments. Your responsibilities will include developing cloud strategies, overseeing migrations to the cloud, and optimizing infrastructure for performance and cost-effectiveness. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and innovation in cloud operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Cloud Architecture Design:
Develop and design scalable, secure, and reliable cloud architecture solutions for business applications.
Define cloud architecture strategies and best practices for deployment.
Evaluate and recommend cloud providers and services, ensuring alignment with company goals and technical requirements.
Cloud Deployment and Management:
Oversee the deployment and management of cloud infrastructure and services.
Implement solutions based on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Ensure optimal performance of cloud environments by monitoring and maintaining configurations and usage.
Cloud Security and Compliance:
Design and implement security solutions to protect data and applications hosted in the cloud.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and industry standards.
Perform security assessments, audits, and incident management to safeguard cloud environments.
Cloud Migration:
Lead cloud migration projects, ensuring a seamless transition from on-premise systems to cloud-based infrastructure.
Develop migration strategies, including application rehosting, refactoring, or rebuilding based on business needs.
Work with technical teams to minimize downtime and manage risks during cloud migrations.
Cost Optimization:
Analyze cloud usage and recommend cost-saving strategies, such as rightsizing resources, using reserved instances, or automating scaling.
Provide recommendations for efficient use of cloud services to reduce unnecessary costs and improve ROI.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with software engineers, DevOps teams, and IT staff to design and deploy cloud solutions that meet business requirements.
Present cloud architecture and strategy recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
Document cloud infrastructure designs and provide training for internal teams.
Performance Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
Monitor cloud infrastructure for performance issues and resolve technical problems.
Use cloud monitoring tools to analyze system performance and ensure high availability.
Identify and mitigate potential risks and bottlenecks in cloud operations.
Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies and platforms.
Implement continuous improvements and automation in cloud deployments to enhance efficiency.
Recommend innovations in cloud strategies to ensure the organization remains competitive in leveraging cloud technologies.
Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud computing principles.
Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in cloud infrastructure.
Security Knowledge: Familiarity with cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks.
Collaboration: Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially in cross-functional teams.
Certifications: Cloud certification such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Professional Architect is often preferred.
