Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support our IC customer onsite in Fort Meade, Maryland.Conducts research in design, development, testing and utilization of electronic data processing software.
Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.Ensures software standards are met. Analyzes user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.Confers with systems analysts, engineers, programmers, and others to design system and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.Designs, develops, and modifies software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design.Coordinates software system installations and monitors equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met..Qualifications
REQUIRED:Requires a minimum of 20 years experience with BS/BA; Minimum of 18 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 14 years with Ph.D.Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field. Four years of additional software development experience may be substituted for degree.Requires an active TS/SCI with Poly level clearance.Requires software development experienceRequires coding experience with Java/C++Application development experienceFull life cycle testing experience (Unit, Integration, and/or Functional)Willingness to learn new languages as mission requires.PREFERRED:Familiarity with Git - source code control.Experience with Encryption and key management.Basic OS administration experience with Windows, Android, Linux, and/or MacExperience with Python, Angular, Kotlin, C#, Typescript/JavascriptFamiliarity with Scrum and Agile developmentExperienced with Mobile Development iOS/AndroidWeb developmentPeraton offers enhanced benefits to employees working on this critical National Security program, which include heavily subsidized employee benefits coverage for you and your dependents, 25 days of PTO accrued annually up to a generous PTO cap and eligible to participate in an attractive bonus plan.Peraton Overview
