Responsible for developing, implementing, and improving technical solutions for the analysis of business data in support of diverse functional areas across SRNS. Works with end users in various departments and disciplines to design and implement analytics solutions that provide end users with actionable insights to business challenges. Oversees the planning, implementation, and execution of projects to create dashboards, reports, and other analytic tools that draw data from various enterprise applications (e.g., PeopleSoft) and other commercial and custom-built data sources. Draws on a knowledge of and experience with data analysis (including predictive analytics), data presentation, and project management to understand and define requirements, build meaningful dashboards and other analytical tools, and assist end users in understanding how to read and use the data, and to maintain these tools after they are implemented. Where enterprise-level support is needed, partners with other organizations to design, test, and implement solutions.

Major Responsibilities

Working under limited supervision, develop, implement, and maintain technical data analytics tools including dashboards and other analyses.Identify opportunities for the application of data analytics across functions. Recommend appropriate end user tools to meet analytical needs and implement such tools to establish, test, and implement new dashboards and analyses providing users with actionable intelligence. Continually improve existing dashboards and analyses. Identify opportunities for, and implement, automated data analysis solutions to drive worker productivity and cost savings.Using data analytics tools, lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of complex data analytics projects from initiation to completion. Translate end user needs into project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and requirements and maximizing end users' understanding and use of the data presented. Validate that appropriate security, access, and data integrity controls exist across integrations and analytical solutions. Complete short-, mid-, and long-term data analytics projects in alignment with strategy from the broader Data Analytics team, ensuring such projects remain on schedule and within budget.Anticipate, identify, and mitigate project risks and issues and develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges to keep projects on time and within budget. Monitor project progress and performance metrics and provide regular updates to stakeholders. Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and training sessions to gather requirements, solicit feedback, and promote user adoption of analytical products. Manage change requests and scope changes, and assess their impact on project timelines, budgets, and resources. Develop training and communication plans for new dashboard-like tools. Develop embedded functional area SMEs for these tools.Lead post-implementation reviews and lessons learned sessions to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous process enhancements.Manage relationships with employees who maintain various data sources to ensure that data are presented clearly and correctly. Manage relationships with partner organizations to ensure strategic alignment and timely and effective delivery of solutions.Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in industry-leading data analytics tools and provide recommendations for system enhancements and optimizations.Security Clearance InformationSRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. This list of factors is not exhaustive; pre-employment information and security clearance requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.Clearance Required to Perform JobNoneQualifications We RequireHigh School Diploma, GED, or other equivalent State CredentialQualifications We Desire*Certification in data and data analytics (e.g., PL300/PL900) and/or Project Management is preferred.*Advanced analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in extracting, cleaning, and manipulating large datasets.*Extensive knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Oracle Analytics Server (OAS), and the ability to apply that knowledge towards developing informative and engaging data visualizations.*Proficiency using SQL to write and edit complex queries.*Excellent problem solving, analytical, and communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to present technical concepts and insights to technical, non-technical, and executive audiences.*Expertise in developing and managing performance dashboards, providing real-time visibility into organizational health.*Knowledge of data structures, data integrity, and database architecture.*Experience in project management involving complex data-driven initiatives, creating reports and presentations, and presenting to senior leadership.*In-depth understanding of statistical methodologies that inform the creation of predictive analytics and modeling.*Proven experience defining, implementing, and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) relevant to strategic objectives and operational focus areas.*Ability to analyze data sets to identify trends and patterns, develop insights using visualization and statistical techniques, and translate these analyses to non-technical audiences.*Leverage data insights to drive impactful discussions that lead to business decisions and operational enhancements.*Advanced Excel skills including in-depth knowledge of advanced functions, macros, pivot tables, and lookups to assist with data analysis.What We OfferSavannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS) Benefits team is constantly assessing trends in the benefits area to provide the best possible services to our workforce.
