Job ID: 2752318 | Amazon.com Services LLCCome transform Amazon Search using Large Language Models (LLMs). We are building new to bring in a step change to both Amazon Rufus and Amazon Search.

You will innovate with your team to provide delightful answers to customers by incorporating world knowledge in matching and ranking models, and helping the models deeply understand semantic meaning in descriptive and conversational queries such as "light tent for snow camping with my son", “best toys for on the go” or “cheap plus size summer pajamas”.

Key job responsibilities

Design online ML systems and automated offline training pipelinesOptimize latency and throughput of production modelsImplement large scale data processing for model pre-training and fine-tuningScale inference to serve Amazon customers with tight SLAsWork closely with principal engineers and scientists to build systems that will stand the test of timeConduct A/B tests to measure customer impact of new models

About the teamWe are a collaborative team of machine learning engineers and scientists, responsible for Amazon Search quality world-wide. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experienceExperience programming with at least one software programming languageExperience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics or natural language processingPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experienceBachelor's degree in computer science or equivalentAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
