Director, Digital Distribution & Partnerships

Position OverviewCox Media Group ("CMG") is seeking a Director, Digital Distribution & Partnerships to provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to support CMG's streaming and linear strategy. This position will partner with other leaders across the organization to execute and implement distribution strategies across all platforms. This position is responsible for analyzing, tracking, and measuring the results of distribution efforts. The ideal candidate will develop relationships and identify distribution partnerships to drive revenue growth while identifying new and existing business opportunities to increase revenue.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesExecute and manage our portfolio of streaming distribution channels and partners creating revenue growth.Create strategic distribution partnerships and negotiate impactful deals in the evolving media landscape.Supervise the day-to-day communication with marketing and programming contacts across a variety of partner platforms to grow and optimize new user acquisition, viewer engagement and retention.Manage the full life-cycle of distribution and content acquisition, including deal negotiation, legal review, fulfillment, content delivery, analytics, payments and reporting.Build strong relationships internally and externally. Work collaboratively across the organization to manage existing partnerships and seek new distribution opportunities.Develop and execute on distribution strategies that drive and increase revenue.Understand existing contracts and stay close with industry trends to identify new opportunities.Maintain content avails for CMG-owned and third-party licensed content.Keep an active tab of current and pipeline distribution partnerships, including project trackers, one-sheets, status reports, etc.Analyze information and data to identify areas for growth and optimization.Streamline and unify the management of our streaming partner lifecycle across the organization.Leverage process automation to apply business rules and drive uniform adoption.

Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent with 6-8 years of relevant work experience.5 years proven track record of negotiating contracts and deals in the media landscape from planning to closure.Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong internal and external (vendor) relationships.Self-starter with proven ability to work independently.Familiarity with streaming platforms SVOD, FAST, and AVOD services.Experience with Amagi or similar cloud playout solution (Wurl, Frequency, OTTera etc.).Excellent communication, problem solving and persuasive skills.General understanding of the digital product ecosystem.Strong analytics skills and business acumen with the ability to make data driven decisions.Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize.Ability to travel as necessary.Valid driver's license with clean driving record required.

Location:

Atlanta, GA is preferred, but remote candidates will also be considered.
