Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) LLC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Enterprise Architect to join our dynamic team in the DC Metro Area. The successful applicant will be responsible for integrating vendor products, developing integration strategies, and implementing the systems architecture of the organization to align with corporate strategies and goals.

In this role, you will be pivotal in enterprise-level systems design, offering visionary leadership, anticipating potential issues, and identifying critical areas for scaling the business related to corporate systems. Reporting to the Transformation and Integration Officer, you will be responsible for the documentation of architecture roadmaps, data models, communication protocols, and systems integration.

Job Responsibilities:

As an IT Enterprise Architect, you will:Develop and maintain integration roadmaps, standards, and best practices to guide system integration and architecture.Lead architecture reviews and serve as a key business partner for critical business systems, particularly within the MyNavy HR defense sector.Create and implement strategies for systems integration using COTS platforms and cloud-native services.Provide hands-on leadership in developing proof-of-concept application components, integration adapters, and integration data models.Build and maintain visual diagrams that document applications, integrations, and business domains.Establish and uphold application development standards in line with industry best practices.Administer various cloud-native services including API gateways, application services, messaging services, caching, key vaults, container services, and storage accounts.Offer guidance on end-to-end management of source code repositories, DevOps build and release pipelines.Collaborate with development teams to advise on application architecture, performance, integration code reviews, and scalability.Work closely with Security and Infrastructure teams to ensure compliance and networking standards.Educate application development teams and IT resources on industry trends and emerging technologies.Assist in build vs. buy assessments and conduct thorough product evaluations.

Basic Qualifications:

Active DoD Secret clearance requiredExperience with DoD systems and operations.Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems/Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.10+ years in designing, developing, and implementing enterprise software applications.7+ years as a software architect across multiple domains.Experience in implementing and promoting API standards.Expertise in event-driven architecture and message queuing patterns.Skilled in designing integration models using GitHub, Azure Repos, and Azure DevOps.Experience in integrating systems using cloud-native Azure or AWS services.Proficiency with Systems Architect and Cameo Software.Knowledge of producing DODAF products (e.g., OV-1, SV-1, SV-6).Experience in migrating legacy applications to service-oriented architecture.Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Desired Qualifications:

Experience with caching technologies (e.g., Redis, Memcached) is advantageous.Experience with Navy IT System Architecture or prior Navy experience is a plus.Strong communication and team-building skills.Experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.Proactive and self-motivated.Ability to stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve and innovate within the role.
