The Role

The Test Automation Platform team’s systems execute and ingest results for over 3 million test executions daily. We provide the core infrastructure and capabilities to enable automated testing of the Netflix product at scale.

What you will do:

Evolve our data architecture/strategy to democratize our data and enable analytics and insights.

Build, own, and maintain data pipelines, data stores, and API services to ensure the reliability, consistency, and scalability of our systems.

Drive data architecture projects with stakeholder teams to improve the efficiency of the use of our data platform.

Collaborate with stakeholder teams to build analytics and insights based on the test results and other pieces of data generated by our automation platform.

This role is right for you if:

You have a passion for exploring and building technical datasets.

You strive to write elegant code and are comfortable with picking up new technologies independently.

You are proficient in at least one major programming language (e.g. Javascript, Python) and comfortable working with SQL.

You are proficient with MongoDB or other NoSQL solutions.

You have a strong background in software engineering of data systems and services.

You are familiar with data pipeline technologies like Spark or Flink.

You have an eye for detail, good data intuition, and a passion for data quality.

You appreciate the importance of great documentation and data debugging skills.

You relate to and embody many aspects of the Netflix Culture, loving to work independently while also collaborating and giving/receiving candid feedback.

You are comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment with ambiguous requirements.

You excel in collaborative settings and use your strong communication skills to influence outcomes.

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. The range for this role is $100,000 - $720,000.
