Android Frameworks Software Engineer

We are seeking Android Frameworks Engineers in San Diego! We're looking for candidates who are passionate about software development and the Android Platform, with solid experience in the Framework layer of the Android Operating System (not just the application layer). A successful candidate in this role is self-driven, creative, and doesn’t mind delving into different areas of the stack. This person will take initiative and should be willing to execute consistently in an agile, fast-paced environment. In this role, you will explore, develop, and deliver new cutting-edge technologies that serve as the foundation of current and future products. You will work closely with product management, application software engineers, and partners to understand requirements, specify interfaces for new software frameworks, and enhance existing frameworks. You will set technical improvements to build on AOSP and work with Application and Platform teams to debug functional, performance, and stability issues across the stack.Responsibilities:
5+ years of experience with Android developmentExperience with Android frameworks or internal servicesExperience with AOSP (Android Open Source Project)Experience developing and shipping consumer productsExperience in C/C++ and JavaExperience with hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targetsUnderstanding of operating system fundamentalsTeam playerProactiveness in collaborating and executionFlexibility to switch technical contextWillingness to learn new methods/tools/processesAbility to prioritize and multitaskStrong problem solving and critical thinking skillsThe annual salary range for this role is $80,000 – $250,000 per year. The Annual Salary is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs, and market demand.
