Sr.Staff/Principal Engineer - Automotive Platform Software

The MediaTek's ISD Automotive Technology team is revolutionizing its cutting-edge Wireless, Multimedia, AR/VR/XR, Computer Vision, Generative AI Technologies, and working closely with global Automakers/Tier-1s, consortiums, and creating the safer roads and transportation with evolution of Automotive Infotainment, ADAS/Autonomous Driving and Telematics products.MediaTek's Automotive Technology team is looking for an experienced hands-on engineering leader to drive the Automotive Engineering/Technology SW development. This Role involves understanding OEMs/Tier1s, supporting HW/SW product roadmap, develop various platform SW features, and technically contribute to MediaTek's most advanced Automotive products.Job RequirementBSP/Platform SW development (PMIC/DDR/Clock, high/low speed interfaces such as CAN/UART/I2C/SPI/USB/PCIe/Ethernet etc.Working experience in UEFI, kernel drivers, operating systems such as QNX/Linux/Android/AGL, device drivers and frameworks.Experience in Hypervisors, Virtual Machines (VMs), Virtual driver developmentExposure to MCU MCAL drivers, AUTOSAR, Diag/UDS/SOME-IP protocols.Boot, power, and performance optimizationsExperience in Automotive processes (ASPICE), Functional safety (ISO26262), and Cyber Security(ISO21434) concepts.Additional skills:The idle candidate might have strong hands-on experience who is willing to dig into the details, get first-hand knowledge of the issues and play an active and personal role in steering team success. Demonstrated ability to work with partners/customers across different geographies, owned large-scale SoC SW product development and customer support.Exposure to one or more of below is a plus:Multiprocessor Architecture, ARM processors, Virtualization technologies across CPU and MM hardware acceleratorsMultimedia(Audio, Video, Camera, Display & Graphics)/Embedded applications and/or driver development on one or more of Linux/QNX/RTOS/Android platformsExperience in Compute Systems, Vision, Radar, Lidar, and other sensor-based perception, prediction, path planning and control & execution systems.AV System simulation experience and understanding of automotive AD/ADAS software, algorithm design experience is a plus.Salary range: $190,000 - $260,000Employee may be eligible for performance bonus, short and long term incentive programs. Actual total compensation will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience and qualifications.
