The Product Owner will work with Key stake holders and users to understand and define short-term and long-term product vision and goals and own and manage the product roadmap and feature priorities that contribute to the strategic narratives at organization. Specific duties include the following: Drive product discussions with stake holders, users, technology and refine clear requirements. Perform competitive research, market research, usability studies to solve customer problems. Apply Lean methodology, work with the technology team to identify the right solution for the problems identified; analyze user requirements and define functional specifications using Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Use qualitative and quantitative research (Prototypes, data mining etc.) to validate the problem space and best way forward to solve the problem. Use data driven approach to define output measures and input measures to validate the outcome of the solution. Define mechanisms and metrics (e.g., KPIs, funnels, conversion, awareness) to explain product s/feature adoption, performance and any variance against goals to key stake holders. Drive requirements to help technology partners create API mapping details and Data Definitions needed to achieve the communication between various systems. Perform Gap analysis on features available and generated Process Maps to build new features and capabilities that deliver business value. Produce new process and improvement techniques and services; develop metrics that provide data for process indicators for future improvement opportunities; establish standards for measuring performance against process requirements; develop root cause analysis and business case for proposed technology, staff and structure changes; and document modifications and enhancements made to the applications, systems and databases as required by the project. Partner with team to create, coordinate and execute on test plans; this may include quality assurance testing (QA), user acceptance testing (UAT), and defect and issue tracking and prioritization; create UML diagrams, Use Cases Activity diagrams and sequence diagrams; use experience designing applications using Java and J2EE technology; develop and consume Web Services; develop and implement test validations of the applications using Junit. Collaborate with users in identifying Beta groups and executing go to market strategy. Respond to and prioritize support incidents, including diagnosing the issue, understanding the impact and working with the team and others to determine and prioritize a potential fix. Develop product materials and create training content for sales and account management roles. Participate in Agile ceremonies - Daily Stand up, Sprint Planning, Demo and Retrospection and assist the leadership team with status reports as needed. Perform work using the following tools, technologies, and skills: User story creation and maintenance, backlog grooming, and ceremony leadership; Agile tools, including Jira and VersionOne; Scrum framework; API; Iterative Framework; Quality Center; ALM, SOAP UI; Axure, Team Foundation Server; .NET; Java; J2EE; Spring; Technical Design; Sprint Planning; User Acceptance Testing; UML Diagrams; Wireframes; Balsamiq; PL/SQL; XML.
