Job description

Infosys is seeking a

Network Engineer

for SDWAN/VIPTELA centric design and configuration for customer projects. This role requires close partnership and collaboration with Engineers and Subject Matter Experts.

Required Qualifications:•Candidate must be located within commuting distance of

Richardson, TX,

or , Raleigh, NC , or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US.•Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.•At least 2 years of Information Technology experience.•Working knowledge of: SD WAN, Viptela Design, Configuration and Activation•Competent understanding of: all layers of OSI model preferred including private line services, Ethernet, Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS), Virtual Private Network (VPN), DIA, Voice and Security•Independently complete: discovery, customer requirement, and coordination with Sales engineering to complete the SDWAN design solution/configuration.•Perform RCA for missed metrics and implement improvement plan.•Propose/Drive operational automation initiatives for optimizing Delivery cycle.•Responsible for analyzing team KPIs, production/SLA, overall efficiency, and quality of work.•Directly engage customer, customer engineering team, and other customer 3rd parties to successfully design and deploy SDWAN solution and follow up with any change request and troubleshooting as needed.•Setup/Drive weekly/monthly review calls with management for reviewing metrics, progress, and challenges.•Ensure quality assurance on all disconnect procedures being performed correctly to mitigatehuman error outages and maintain overall disconnect cost optimization.•Own and maintain client(s) technical documentation.•Participate in an on-call rotation for support of systems outside of normal business hours.•Must be able to work in 24x7 production support environment.•All applicants authorized to work in the United States are encouraged to apply

Preferred Qualifications:•Managed Services and Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) suite of products: Viptela.•Intermediate experience with:•Network Hardware including: Routers, Switches, Wireless Access Points.•Internet and Private Network Solutions.•Configuring Customer Provided Equipment (CPE) Routers and Switches.•Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) Equipment or Solutions.•Configuring CPE Routers and Switches.•Network Implementation, Optimization, Change Management, and Implementation•Product and systems knowledge related to the activated services, technical validations, pre-testing, troubleshooting with customers.•CCNP Certified is an added advantage•Fundamental knowledge of Routing Protocols and Hardware Platforms to include BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, IP Routing, Cisco.•Excellent Communications and client interaction skills along with exceptional written and verbal skills as well as technical documentation•Extraordinary Planning, Project Management, Coordination, and Analytical skills•Hands-on experience in working in Global Delivery Model with onsite/offshore resources•Exceptional Organizational Skills•Ability to manage and prioritize tasks efficiently•Readiness to demonstrate a proactive attitude•Solid attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required•Lead internal training to SDWAN/VIPTELA Engineers and provide guidance and feedback to direct team on performance, strategic directives, and goals
