Senior Application Developer - AVP

Who we are looking forThe Senior Application Developer will serve as a securities finance and lending technical SME across multiple middle office initiatives and will be responsible to analyze data, contribute in system design and write code to develop and deploy cloud compatible software applications to support Agency Lending business unit.To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate great skill in creativity and innovation, ability to thrive in a high pressure environment, and possess excellent communication skills.What you will be responsible forAs a Senior Application Developer you will:Provide technical expertise in analyzing, designing, estimating, and writing code to develop and deploy software applications as per the given project schedule.Identify and recommend industry best practices.Work in a team of agile developers.Work on complex deadline-driven projects with minimal supervision.Design/develop with minimum requirements by effectively coordinating activities between business analysts, scrum leads, developers, and managers.Provide technical subject matter expertise in reviewing and debugging complex technical issues.Review code work for accuracy and functionality.Proven track record of working in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.What we valueThese skills will help you succeed in this role:Experienced, highly skilled in the following technologies: Core Java, Tomcat, Springboot, REST API, Web Services, ReactJS, SQL, Oracle/Exadata, Kafka, MQ, Linux, Git.End-to-end understanding of software architecture, design, development, and implementation.Good understanding of cloud concepts and CI/CD deployment procedures.Experience using Scrum, Agile modeling, and adaptive software development is preferred.Good team player.Completes own role independently or with minimal supervision/guidance.Education & Preferred QualificationsAt least 8 years of Java coding experience.4+ years of experience with Continuous integration and build processes, test automation, and deployment experience.4+ years of experience with SQL.Exposure to cloud computing.Strong written & verbal communication skills. Experience writing and reviewing technology documents including user guides.Masters in Computer Science preferred.Minimum 3 years with Agile development preferred.Additional requirementsAre you the right candidate?
