Our Marketing and Loyalty team is the strategic force behind United’s industry-leading brand and experience, supporting revenue growth by turning customers into lifelong United flyers. Our marketing communications, market research and brand teams drive travelers’ familiarity and engagement with the United brand. Our product, design and service teams bring the signature United brand to life in our clubs and onboard our aircraft, ensuring a seamless, premier experience. And when customers choose United again and again, that’s because the loyalty team has been hard at work crafting an award-winning program.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategize with key collaborators to develop value proposition, track innovation roadmap and drive overall marketing framework to inform approaches.

Oversee and manage overall B2C marketing vision, goals and tactics.

Collaborate and guide manager on priorities to focus on, while providing career development opportunities and coaching.

Create Partner marketing opportunities to drive incremental value for travel, loyalty and media.

Manage relationships and interactions with outside agencies to realize vision and drive alignment with Advertising team on collaborative opportunities and brand marketing efficiencies.

Budget management across investments to ensure efficient operating model, value and financial reporting.

QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Communications, Design, Marketing, Advertising, Digital Media, Social Media marketing, Business.

10+ years in marketing strategy and within advertising, media and technology industry, and experience working with agencies, creative and media buying teams.

Entrepreneurial role with a start-up mentality.

This role requires broad business and technical acuity and a strong ability working through ambiguous situations.

Deep experience in marketing, advertising, airline and loyalty.

Cross functional experience strategizing with business leadership on marketing needs.

Combine collaboration and autonomy to drive impact.

Proven expertise in building brand strategy and launching campaigns and products.

Deep knowledge of design principles with experience setting creative direction for a brand.

Strong understanding of design methodologies and holds team and partners to high bar in terms of quality of work and sophisticated taste.

Ability to collaborate with creative talent and agencies and cultivate relationships.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and to create structure and provide value amid ambiguity.

Ability to manage multiple collaborators and projects simultaneously with skills and attitude to inspire team spirit.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

Master’s Degree or equivalent experience in Marketing and Communications or a relevant technical or business (MBA) post graduate degree.

Airline and Loyalty experience.
