RESPONSIBITIES

This position requires the Social Worker II to provide direct short-term services to individuals and families and requires an assessment of each individual housing situation to determine appropriate services for the Low- Income Homeowners Relief (LIHR) program. The Social Worker II will conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients strengthens and barriers; Provide case management services, including home visits to those individuals meeting the program eligibility criteria outline; Research and link clients to community resources and other social services programs; Communicate with clients through various channels; Work closely with the community and outside vendors; Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers; and Compile data, prepare reports, and maintain thorough and concise case notes.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in a human services field such as social work, counseling, psychology, special education, deaf education, rehabilitation counseling or marriage and family therapy from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in social work, counseling, preferably with the client population; or bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of experience in counseling or a related human services field providing experience in the techniques of casework, group work, or community organization; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
