Recovery Support Specialist to join our

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Provide recovery peer support and crisis stabilization for clients or guests served by the program.Assist in outreach/engagement/marketing for programs and clients.Assist clients in understanding, seeking and achieving the best possible outcomes, especially those representing the main client problems/ issues/ needs which the program is designed to address.Serve as a strong role model to clients.Work with CST staff to ensure family involvement in all aspects of the client’s services, as applicable.Provide information to clients, family members, and other stakeholders about the main client problems/ issues/ needs which the program is designed to address, treatment options, natural supports/community resources, etc.Provide information to consumers/family members about mental illness, treatment options, and natural supports/community resources.Assist clients with budgeting and decision making related to spending wisely, as needed.Co-facilitate or facilitate prevention/education, wellness, and skill building groups, with other staff.Give presentations to clients, family members and professionals as needed.Assist clinicians to identify strengths and needs of the clients.Assist other staff to identify strengths and needs of the clients.Assist clients to develop and maintain a personal wellness plan, as appropriate.Attend provider multi-disciplinary staffing and/or team meetings, as appropriate.Adhere to agency documentation and confidentiality requirements, as appropriateParticipate in program policy and procedure development and implementation as it relates to clients/family needs, as appropriate.May complete billable services to clients within a recovery support specialist capacity.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalency,

required.Bachelor’s Degree or Certificate as Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS)

preferred .Certified Recovery Support Specialist - CRSS

preferred.Relevant experience to perform the functions of a Recovery Support Specialist within the given program.Must have access to a vehicle, proof of insurance and valid driver’s license to perform essential job functions required.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Must have basic computer skills.High level of ability with oral and written communication.Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups.Positive attitude and self-motivationGood judgment in maintaining responsibilities of the position in advocating for the best interest of clients served.Candidate will have successfully managed the symptoms of their own illness and have a working knowledge of the process.PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand for sustained periods of time, frequently talk, hear, use hands and fingers to feel, handle and operate objects or controls, and occasionally stand, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel and crouch.The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing and viewing a computer terminal.The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.SALARY:
