Onyx Point is currently looking for an experienced Senior Software Developer (Infrastructure) to join our team developing next generation signals intelligence (SIGINT) and electronic warfare systems for the Department of Defense. Join this passionate team of industry-leading individuals on a program that leverages the best practices in Model-Based Systems Engineering and Agile software development to deliver state of the art capability in support of our nation's warfighters.

As someone who thinks outside the box, you'll enjoy creating/ implementing solutions to interesting engineering problems. Using DevSecOps methodologies, you'll identify constraints and employ creative solutions to break bottlenecks, improve processes, and create efficiencies. Rather than performing repetitive manual tasks you'll find ways to make automation do the heavy lifting. You will code software using industry standard tools, testing frameworks, CI infrastructure, automated deployments, and design scalable maintenance practices. Your experience with Linux as a real time operating system, bash shell, and scripting in languages such as Python will be indispensable assets.

What You'll Get To Do:• Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC)• Collaborate with engineering team to design and implement IaC approach to automate configuration of hardware and software systems.• Collaborate across multiple teams to integrate and deploy containerized services into Kubernetes.• Collaborate with developer and integration teams to ensure smooth deployments

You'll Bring These Qualifications:• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or related role• Understanding of DevOps principles and methodologies• Experience with scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell• 3+ years of experience with IaC tools such as Ansible, Puppet or Chef• 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes• Excellent communication and collaboration skills• Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance

Compensation: We are committed to providing fair and competitive compensation. The salary range for this position is $78,000 to $250,000 per year. This range reflects the compensation offered across the locations where we hire. The exact salary will be determined based on the candidate's work location, specific role, skill set, and level of expertise.
