Our client, the City of Phoenix IT PMO, is on the hunt for experienced IT Project Managers to join their expanding team of 35 PMs and BAs. This is an excellent opportunity to lead high-visibility projects and make a significant impact.
Who are we looking for?Professionals with recent large-scale experience in one of the following areas:
Website design/redesign with upgrades or conversionsConstituent or customer management systemsTime tracking systemsImplementation or remediation of security toolsMobile device management
Individuals with the ability to influence stakeholders and manage conflictDetail-oriented professionals with exceptional communication skillsProject Management Professional (PMP), Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), or other project management certificationsYour responsibilities will include:
Adherence to the Governance process, including stakeholder engagement, status report preparation, and executive briefingsConducting project planning exercises to ensure successful project deliveryVendor Management tasks such as deliverable acceptance, milestone payment, contract adherence, and escalationsBudget Management and trackingCreation, tracking, and delivery of project timelines, tasks, and metricsMinimum qualifications:
Seven (7) years as a project lead with experience in technology projects involving multiple computer subsystemsRecent large-scale website design/redesign experience with upgrades or conversionBachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems or a related fieldAll finalists for positions are subject to a criminal background check applicable to the department or positionAbility to be on-site as required by the project needs and project team activitiesPreferred qualifications:
Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), or other project management certificationsMaster's degree in business/Public Administration, Information Technology, or a related fieldExperience in IT program or project managementExperience leading IT project management teamsExperience with vendor managementExperience with software implementation/upgradeExperience working with, or for, public sector organizationsExperience with project and portfolio management toolsExcellent customer service and business relationship communication skills
