Job Summary:

The Senior Brand Designer is responsible for the visual identity of American Bible Society. You will design creative visual content for web, print, and video media, and you will ensure American Bible Society's visual storytelling is compelling and consistent across all channels, for all audiences.

Reporting directly to the Director of Digital Content and Creative, you will play a critical role in shaping the creative strategy of American Bible Society and will be primarily responsible for executing that strategy throughout all visual media. Your work will advance ourfundraising, marketing, and public relations goals, while raising the profile of American Bible Society and the Bible cause in American culture. Your goals will include increased digital engagement, lead generation, and targeted web traffic, and you will work alongside our fundraising teams to ensure they have the creative and visual assets needed to present a compelling case for our Bible ministry.

The Senior Brand Designer will have a holistic view of branding and visual design that understands and applies best practices across disciplines, including nonprofit fundraising, mass marketing, direct response, PR, social media engagement, and web development. You will design work for diverse audiences including donors, ministry partners, social media followers, Bible engagers, and curious visitors engaging with our mission and the Bible cause for the first time.

Work alongside the Senior Manager of Brand Creative and Director of Communications to execute on creative strategies for fundraising, marketing, and advertising.Uphold existing brand guidelines and work to refine these guidelines in response to user data, evolving visual trends, shifts in technology, and repositioning of communications strategies.Design compelling and effective mid and major donor collateral, including custom proposals, brochures, event invitations, and annual reports.Design Record magazine and, in coordination with the Manager of Digital Content, define the creative and visual strategy for this flagship communication.Assist internal partners in upholding brand standards by developing easy-to-use templates, such as for PPT presentations, letters, mass emails, or editable PDFs.Deliver compelling creative content across all visual media, including print, webpages, email, and social media.Tailor the visual experience of ABS ministry for diverse audiences, including mass donors, signature donors, church and ministry leaders, beneficiaries, and the general public.Coordinate with teammates and internal/external partners to ensure deadlines and expectations are consistently met.Establish shot lists and photography scenarios and communicate asset capture needs to the photo/video team and other Marketing teammates.Develop and refine corporate identity marks and logos.Keep pace with current design trends, digital design applications, and creative skill sets.Maintain creative files to be organized and accessible to ABS staff.Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or related fieldExperience:

Minimum of 5 years' experience in web and graphic designTechnical Skills:

Technical expertise in web design, graphic design (digital and print), and video editing/production.Proficiency with web and graphic design tools, including Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, and Canva.Ability to create visual content for diverse digital platforms, including bespoke landing pages, X, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Vibe, etc.Experience with digital postproduction for print, color correction techniques, and knowledge of editing in multiple color profiles.Comprehensive understanding of visual assets including file formats, sizes, applications, and terminology.
