Window and Door Service Technician

DESCRIPTION:

Job Description:Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Window and Door Service Technician to join our team. As a Window and Door Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service and support to our clients by performing repairs, maintenance, and installations of windows and doors. Your expertise will ensure that our customers receive top-quality service, and that their windows and doors are in optimal working condition. The ideal candidate should have excellent technical skills, strong attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities:Perform window and door repairs and maintenance tasks efficiently and effectively, including but not limited to hardware replacement, glass replacement, weatherstripping installation, and adjustments.Conduct inspections and diagnose issues with windows and doors to determine the appropriate repair or replacement solutions.Install and replace windows and doors, ensuring proper alignment, sealing, and functionality.Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.Accurately document and maintain service records, including work performed, materials used, and any additional recommendations made.Collaborate with team members and service coordinator to schedule service appointments and coordinate workload efficiently.Keep up-to-date with industry trends, product developments, and manufacturer guidelines for window and door repairs and installations.Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles used for window and door service.Mulling and assembly of Window and Door units in the shop and in the field.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training in window and door repair/installation is preferred.Proven experience as a Window and Door Service Technician or a similar role, with a strong track record of successful repairs and installations.Comprehensive knowledge of window and door systems, components, and functionality.Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools commonly used in window and door repairs and installations.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose issues and determine the appropriate solutions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs.Basic Computer SkillsValid driver's license and a clean driving record.Ability to work independently and other technicians efficiently manage time and workload.Ability to travel for both service jobs as well as training that may occasionally include overnight stays.
