We are looking for a
Product Designer
within our K-12 division who will be responsible for implementing the design vision, strategy, and workflow to build world-class educational products for the
Intervention
portfolio. The Product Designer is responsible for collaborating across cross-functional teams to create and deliver a cohesive visual experience across Print and Digital modalities to enable effective and engaging experiences for teaching and learning.
This is a remote role, and candidates can reside anywhere within the United States.
It will be filled as a Project Status Worker (PSW) designation.
What you will be doing:
Create visually engaging, effective, user-friendly print designs that align with product strategy and goal
Develop visually engaging, effective, and user-friendly media from concept through final delivery by working with cross-functional product development teams to concept, design, research, acquire, track, and seek approval for all media assets: illustration; photo; video; sound; animation; etc.
Manage external media vendors. Monitor and report project status and guide work to ensure media assets meet expectations for quality, data capture, scalability, alignment to media strategy, budget, and schedule.
Articulate rationale for design and media choices to cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Create style guides and other guideline documentation to support vendor production
Deliver design and media deliverables on time and within budget
Demonstrate a strong attention to detail, embody the work ethic and personality that thrives in a fast-paced culture with tight deadlines, shifting priorities, and cross functional teams.
Advocating for the user throughout product development
What you need to be considered:
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communication, human centered design, or related field or relevant expertise required
1-3 years of work experience with print visual design
A portfolio demonstrating strong visual sensibilities, compelling ideas, and a thorough understanding of design process
Expert knowledge of Adobe CC programs: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, Lucidchart
Bonus: Understanding web standards and technologies, including CSS, HTML skills.
The pay range for this position is between $50,000 - $64,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
