We are looking for an experienced
Senior Security Engineer
to join our team. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security infrastructure and systems. What You'll Do:
•Design, implement, and maintain security infrastructure, including
firewalls ,
intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) ,
data loss prevention (DLP) , and
security information and event management (SIEM)
systems.
•Conduct
security assessments
and
penetration testing
to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
•Develop and maintain security
policies, procedures, and standards
aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
•Manage and track
Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms)
to address identified vulnerabilities and compliance gaps.
•Support
DevSecOps
initiatives by integrating security into CI/CD pipelines using test-driven security methods.
•Participate in the
Authorization to Operate (ATO)
and
cATO
process, ensuring compliance with security standards.
•Stay informed on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies, providing research and recommendations.
•Engage in
incident response
activities, including forensic analysis, evidence gathering, and reporting.

What You Bring:
• Bachelor's degree
(equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
• 7+ years of experience
as a Security Engineer or in a related role.
•Active
Secret Clearance
(required due to contract).
•Proven experience with network security technologies, including
firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP, SIEM , and network segmentation.
•Familiarity with security compliance frameworks, such as
NIST ,
ISO 27001 , or
GDPR .
•Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to support geographically dispersed operations.
Desired:
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) ,
Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE) , or
Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)
certifications.
•Relevant certifications such as
CISSP, CISM,
or
GIAC .
•Strong scripting and automation skills, with proficiency in
Python
or
PowerShell .
Location:
•Must be based near
Colorado Springs, CO , with the ability to work on-site as needed.
