We are seeking a Windows System Administrator for a long-term contract position with our client in Austin. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting highly reliable systems, providing daily operations under moderate supervision, and leveraging your broad IT skills and up-to-date knowledge.
Qualifications/Requirements
2-3 years of relevant experienceStrong customer service orientation with a proactive problem-solving approachProficiency in basic Windows network administration (DNS, WINS, DHCP)Familiarity with Active Directory Group Policy and troubleshootingEffective communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to interact with individuals at all organizational levelsSolid technical background with the capability to explain complex concepts to a non-technical audience
Duties/Responsibilities
Manage user account creation, termination, and permissionsCollaborate with the IT helpdesk to resolve user issues promptlyInstall and configure new server hardware and software as per documented standardsDocument tasks and procedures, and develop new documentation as requiredBuild, configure, and troubleshoot software and hardware enhancements, application deployments, and infrastructure upgradesAddress basic desktop environmental issues and provide technical support to end-usersSupport Office365 desktop software and conduct patching for desktops, servers, and IT infrastructureTroubleshoot network-related issues and coordinate with the network team for resolutionReport IT status to government and program managersSupport IT systems through day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devicesAssist with the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systemsMaintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting stepsUtilize remote access technologies to resolve user problems
