RCS is seeking aMobile Software Developerto directly assist the program manager with operational support, database support, collaboration with other operational teams, briefing customers, and development and execution of strategy for complex technical solutions that are widely used and relied upon. The work will be performed within a team environment. Need polished skills in concept development and execution while managing a moderate, fast-paced workload.
This position requires the candidate to work onsite in Chantilly, VA. Relocation assistance is not available.
What you will do:
Work with customers to translate operational needs into technical requirements.
Track program progress, risks, issues, and dependencies.
Serve as a geospatial technology and mobile development expert.
Support technical meetings with vendors to communicate program and mission requirements.
Provide technical advice and direction based on practical knowledge of mobile phone hardware, mobile operating systems (Android/iOS), software (commercial, FOSS, and GOTS), and security mechanisms.
Interact with the Sponsor’s Enterprise teams to integrate Sponsor’s geospatial mission data within a common, enterprise web application, to include system administration, database administration, file, and access management functions using Amazon EC2, S3, and related services.
Develop mobile applications.
Proficient with both Android and iOS app development.
Required Qualifications/Education:
Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
Strong knowledge of Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) applications and services.
Demonstrated ability to develop Android/iOS mobile applications using React including proficiency with Visual Studio Code, Android Studio, Xcode, Nodejs, and JavaScript.
Working with teams to manage software development activities.
Working with customers to define functional requirements, concept of operations, and UI/UX design.
Managing iterative software development releases.
Tracking development sprints using JIRA.
Managing source code in Github and Gitlab.
Developing test plans.
Providing technical support and training to a broad client base.
Understanding emerging technical trends.
Software engineering and development
Supporting technical operations.
Nice to Have Qualifications:
Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
Documenting process and procedures.
Tool idea conceptualization and requirements design.
Windows, UNIX, and Linux platforms.
