Description

OCH is expanding and is currently seeking a ServiceNow Developer to join our team of uniquely talented, diverse professionals for a large Government project in DC Metro Area. As a ServiceNow Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our client's ServiceNow platform. You will work closely with our team to understand business requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and ensure the smooth deployment of ServiceNow applications. Core Responsibilities & Duties

Assist in the customization and development of ServiceNow applications, including Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, and Service Catalog.Support coding, unit testing, and integrating new features into the ServiceNow platform.Help configure and set up the ServiceNow instance, write custom scripts, and automate environment deployment and validation tasks.Configure the development instance using ServiceNow Studio, ensuring data and code separation between environments with Scoped Applications and Application Data Protection.Assist in implementing core modules such as transaction processing and reporting, utilizing Script Includes, Business Rules, and UI Policies.Contribute to building custom applications using Server-Side Glide Scripting, Client-Side GlideAjax, and UI Pages to enhance user interaction.Assist in resolving issues identified during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and optimize code based on performance feedback.Support final deployment efforts, ensuring the production instance is fully configured and functioning correctly.Participate in new feature development, bug resolution, and enhancement of existing modules within the platform.Assist in maintaining CI/CD pipelines to ensure proper testing and smooth deployment without impacting system stability.Familiarity with security protocols and best practices for protecting data within a ServiceNow environment.About Us

Requirements

Minimum QualificationsEducation:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Preferred but not mandatory).

Experience:

1-3 years of experience in Information Technology, with some hands-on experience in ServiceNow development.Knowledge of JavaScript, including Server-Side Glide Scripting and Client-Side GlideAjax.Experience or familiarity working with ServiceNow Studio for configuring and developing applications.Experience or exposure to core ServiceNow modules such as Script Includes, Business Rules, and UI Policies.Experience or understanding of assisting with ServiceNow integrations, including REST APIs.Preferred Qualifications

Understanding of ServiceNow modules such as Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, and Service Catalog.Understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) principles.Ability to assist with resolving issues during UAT and optimize performance based on feedback.Other Required Skills and Abilities
