We are in search of a dynamic Senior Lead Test Automation Engineer with a proven track record in implementing automated solutions within an agile environment. The successful candidate will take the lead in our automation test team, offering technical expertise in designing and architecting the test automation framework, and ensuring its integration across the team.

Within our electronics test team, the focus lies in creating tools and applications to facilitate automated and qualification testing for transfer switch and/or Power Control System products and components. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about leveraging cutting-edge technologies to develop custom solutions that have a real impact.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Architects software solutions for test automation.The candidate will have complete ownership of leading the test automation solutions, frameworks and lead the implementation of test strategy, test plans & test execution.Supports automation script development and the optimization of those scripts.Recommends new tools, techniques and methodologies needed to enhance productivity and quality of development and test code.Collaborate with software and test engineers to proactively analyze current processes and practices and defining improvements of test scripts, test frameworks, infrastructure, tools and test coverage.Evaluate, select, and formulate best usage of test automation tools and future alignment for different products and applications.Develop automation strategy to support regression testing based on the technical analysis, complexity, and reusability.Provides technical leadership and support to design and implement automated CI/CD testing pipelines.Develop and maintain cross-platform software applications to control test systems and/or interface with other equipment.Utilize Agile Development in cooperation with project team members and participates in daily Scrum and tri-weekly Sprint close/open.Performs periodic code review and maintains good documentation of the product under test/development.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

(soft skills, specific knowledge)5+ years of experience architecting software solutions.5+ years of experience working with embedded systems.8+ years of progressive software development experience with object-oriented programming languages.Proficient in Python.Experience defining/building reusable software assets for large/complex projects.Experience providing technical leadership to junior engineers in the creation of complex scripts.Experience with test driven development.Experience defining standard testing architecture methodologies, processes and tools across multiple teams.Thorough understanding and hands on experience in developing and enhancing automation testing frameworks.Familiarity with source control tools (GIT, Subversion, etc).Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, RESTful APIs, and OO Design.Strong understanding of best practices software architecture and development.Exposure to DevOps tools and processes.Experience ensuring software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility etc.Working knowledge of CAN, USB, RS232, R485, Ethernet and/or other communication networking interfacesAdditional Desired Qualifications:

Experience working with Qt applications.Knowledge in security testing, performance testing, performance tuning is a definite plus.Experience with Robot Framework and PyTest.Experience working with OpenCV.Experience with industrial communications protocols such as MODBUS.Continuous experience improving quality practices across functional and non-functional testing.Experience in setting up a test framework from scratch and improving existing frameworks to be more efficient and effective.Familiarity utilizing bug tracking and requirement tools (Jira, Jama, etc.).Familiarity with code quality tools (Klocwork, SQUoRE, Black Duck, etc)Experience in defining and implementing test processes in the organization across multiple projects.Experience of identifying the appropriate techniques, tools and guidelines to implement the required tests and to give guidance on the corresponding resources requirements for the test effort.Hardware design experience.Build, modify and enhance test racks and test setups.COMPUTER/INSTRUMENTATION SKILLS:

Proficient using personal computers with office applications, and analysis tools.Proficient using compilers, debuggers, programmers, other software development tools.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree or higher in

Computer Science/Engineering ,

Electrical Engineering ,

Robotics , or equivalent
