Job Summary:

The Senior IT Specialist will be responsible for working with end users and analyzing system artifacts to document business requirements, develop process models, and design solutions for an exception tracking system. The role involves in-depth experience in criminal justice systems, test case development, and test execution, along with automation and defect tracking.

Mandatory Requirements:Expert-level experience with 84+ months in the following areas:

Eliciting and documenting detailed business requirements from stakeholders or system artifacts.Developing and maintaining test plans, executing tests, validating results, and tracking defects.

Desired Requirements:

84 Months of Experience:

Eliciting and documenting business requirements from project stakeholders.

24 Months of Experience:

Working with criminal justice systems, such as statistical reporting, disposition processing, fingerprint identification, criminal history updating, sex offender management, tracking of wanted/missing persons, or offender supervision initiatives.

84 Months of Experience:

Developing and maintaining detailed test plans, executing test cases, validating results, and logging defects.

24 Months of Experience:

Using Quality Center/ALM or equivalent testing tools.

24 Months of Experience:

Working with automated testing tools such as Quick Test Pro or Unified Functional Testing (UFT).

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with end users or review system artifacts to document business system requirements and processes.Develop process models and document requirements for the development of an exception tracking system to improve disposition updating errors/exceptions processing.Analyze and document current disposition business processes, identifying the root cause of errors that prevent proper updates to the Criminal History Repository.Update disposition processing documentation, execute test cases, and implement recommended changes to ensure accurate disposition data and streamline exception notifications.Create or maintain system requirements in clear and organized functional documents, such as business requirements, use cases, reports, or process flow diagrams.Develop, update, and execute detailed test plans and test cases, including regression tests, and contribute to user acceptance testing and Tier 1 support guides.Identify, document, and track application defects to resolution, conducting retesting as necessary.Identify deficiencies in system documentation, addressing missing or ambiguous requirements discovered during testing.
