WHAT WE DO

ReDiscover's Treatment Options Program (TOP) offers medication assisted treatment for individuals who have an opioid use disorder. We offer methadone and buprenorphine products in conjunction with counseling, groups, case management, mental health support and medication as well as nursing services to help support our clients in their journey of recovery. Our goal is to prevent overdose, reduce withdrawal symptoms, normalize brain chemistry, relieve physiological cravings, and assist clients in achieving the life goals they have set.

At ReDiscover, while every day is different, a typical day may include the following roles and responsibilities:Maintain and interact with a caseload of clients with diverse characteristics either in-person and in some cases, virtually.Evaluate client's mental health condition based on review of client information, including bio-psycho-social assessments, psychological evaluation and diagnostics. Collecting information about the client through interviews, observations, and tests. Prepares and maintains treatment records and reports.Develop and implements treatment plans based on clinical experience, knowledge, and understanding of the client's information and history. Acts as a client advocate to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations.Counsel clients, individually and in group sessions specific to the program format, to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, and making changes. Maintains confidentiality of records relating to clients treatment.Work within an interdisciplinary team to develop treatment plans for client(s) being served.We are focused on your development and will spend time helping you continue to grow as a Substance Use Disorder Counselor. However, here are some things you will before starting with ReDiscover:

High School Diploma is required.Certified or registered as a Substance Use Disorder Professional by the Missouri Credentialing Board, Inc.Working knowledge of mental illness and substance use disorders.Excellent customer service skills with a recovery focus.Quality written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as G-Suite.
