Senior Manager, Public Relations

Supporting the Director of Public Relations, this Public Relations Specialist will help raise positive awareness of the company's leadership in the semiconductor industry, contribution to the community, environmental stewardship, and work culture. This role will support our storytelling to external audiences through channels such as news media and social media. This person will support the Director, and as needed respond quickly and professionally to media inquiries regarding TSMC Arizona. This Specialist will maintain a TSMC Arizona PR calendar, oversee external agencies, maintain and refresh media assets and serve as a project manager for media events. This Specialist role may also as needed provide support for TSMC Arizona's community relations events.

Strong collaboration will be important in this role, as it will work across teams such as TSMC corporate public relations, employee communications, government relations, human resources and the TSMC Arizona ESG employee community task force.

Responsibilities:Support for execution of external communications initiatives to build positive awareness of TSMC Arizona.Proactively develop story ideas which advance TSMC Arizona's communications goals.Engage with local, trade, broadcast and national media; and effectively manage those media engagements to influence positive earned news for TSMC Arizona.Write and distribute press content and pitches. Prepare media responses, reactive messages. Arrange logistics for media interviews and spokesperson briefing materials.Create and curate content for the TSMC Arizona website, and also TSMC's social media that aligns with company messaging. Content may include such things as fact sheets, graphics, infographics, video, blog-type content.Support the Director of Public Relations in crisis and issues management as directed; and be trusted to lead the communications response as necessary.Manage monthly/quarterly PR calendars and track task progress.Work closely with external agencies/vendors and oversee project work.Partner with TSMC Arizona Employee Communications on content calendar for the purposes of educating employees on external activities. Provide content for distribution to employees.Partner with HR and Workforce Development teams to support recruitment efforts with supporting PR.Collaborate with TSMC Arizona ESG Committee, support selected employee volunteer events.Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in related field or minimum 10 years of related experience in media or public relations.Integrity is a must. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Proven media relations skills; and experience working with news media to influence and shape feature stories.Strong storytelling skills, with the ability to craft messages that connect and resonate across diverse audiences.Social media content creation and channel management experience a plus. Knowledge of or experience with analytics tools for earned and social media.Effective in communicating to executives; and preparing them for public engagements (interviews; presentations).Experience in managing crisis and incident response desirable.Strong writing skills (be prepared to submit writing sample upon request).Effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization, individuals and teams.Ability to work effectively in an environment subject to changing priorities and short deadlines.Experience working in a technical field or manufacturing site is a plus, and eager to learn more about the technology space, and semiconductor industry.Organized with a strong attention to project management detail.Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and internet and social media research.
