Work Shifts

8:00 A.M - 4:00 P.M

Job Description1. Formulates and develops methods and procedures for monitoring, evaluating, and operating mental health programs and services in assigned areas of responsibility.2. Monitors and coordinates review processes of assigned mental health services to determine if programs are meeting health care needs, objectives, and goals established by the Mental Health Services Depa1tment.3. Participates in the development of policies, standards, rules and regulations pertaining to mental health services.4. Provides advisory and consultative services to corporate, hospital, and facility staff Maintains liaison with community agencies and professional organizations on matters affecting mental health 1th programs.5. Reviews city, slate, and federal regulations in connection with compliance.6. Prepares special reports, studies, and budgetary estimates.7. Advises Director or their designee on policy and procedural changes, community problems, utilization and development staff8. Supervises staff assigned to departmental activities and provides professional direction.9. Participates in staff meetings and conferences and attends meetings with key leadership officials and external representatives.10. Provides advisory and consultative services in connection with development of grant proposals. Implements administrative policies and procedures based on standards of professional review organizations.

Minimum Qualifications1. Valid license as an LCSW issued by the NYSED and one (1) year of supervisory experience utilizing casework, group work and/or community organization methodologies.
