ResponsibilitiesBerkley Environmental is looking for an open minded and hardworking individual to join our team as a Claims Services Support Representative. In this position, the team member would provide excellent customer services to customers and help support the daily functions of the customer service department. The position is located in our Jersey City, NJ Office. Will consider locations in Irving, TX area and Walnut Creek, CA area.

Support Customer Service Directors with administrative tasks and projects that service our policyholders, brokers, and agents.

Provide administrative support to the Chief Claims Officer.

Coordinate account claims reviews; calendar scheduling, communication, and preparation of claim status reports.

Manage customer service email inbox, and triage tasks accordingly.

Oversee Customer Service Portal by completing access requirements, participate in IT projects, and be point of contact for issues and troubleshooting.

Provide policyholders, brokers, and agencies by providing data reports, loss runs, and scheduling automated loss run reports.

Assist with Special Handling Instruction as directed, will include creating customer instruction guides, inputting claim system activity updates, and data coding.

Interact positively, professionally and collaboratively with all levels of employees in various departments.

Must be able to work alongside claims examiners and underwriters as a partner.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Work experience of at least 2-3 years in Support Functions

Working knowledge of insurance terminology, a plus.

Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.

Possess excellent communication (verbal/written), organizational and interpersonal skills.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and general computer skills.

Great analytical and creative and strategic thinking skills

Trouble shooting skills.

Self-starting, self-motivating and capable of making decisions independently as well as working in a team environment.

Bi-Lingual, Multi-Lingual is a plus.

Education Requirement

High School Diploma

The company offers a competitive compensation plan and robust benefits package for full time regular employees which for this role include: • Base Salary Range: $45,000 – $85,000 • Eligible to participate in annual discretionary bonus. • Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, Wellness, Paid Time Off, 401(k) and Profit-Sharing plans.
