POSITION SUMMARY:This role requires previous aerospace purchasing experience.This position is responsible for procurement of parts, materials, and supplies in a timely manner. The role includes vendor management by qualifying and approving suppliers, ensuring adherence to contract negotiation standards, and aligning with the company's supply chain strategies. The position requires compliance with the Repair Station Manual and Operations Manual while maintaining effective inventory management practices.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Other duties may be assigned:Oversees the purchasing of parts, supplies, and equipment, ensuring inventory control and availability to support team mission requirements.Manages supplier relations by ensuring on-time delivery, high-quality products, competitive pricing, and qualification of vendors as an approved source.Coordinates with logistics and internal teams, such as Planning, Production, Quality Assurance, and Inventory Management, to resolve any supplier production or delivery challenges.Monitors shortage reporting to expedite critical material requirements through suppliers.Continuously updates and communicates purchase order management and vendor lead times to ensure alignment with production schedules.Takes prompt action when supplier commitments fall short of production requirements.Maintains objective performance data to assess supplier reliability and commodity management.Manages non-conformance reports to improve product quality and support corrective actions, reducing the number of rejections.Documents and reports all cost analysis activities, including cost savings and avoidance efforts, and reviews significant cost escalations with management.Resolves all invoice discrepancies that deviate from agreed-upon contract prices.Performs strategic sourcing tasks, including cost/price analysis and other related duties as assigned.Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the following criteria:EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:Minimum of three (3) years of experience in procurement or purchasing in an aviation setting.Experience with shipping, receiving, and inventory control is required.Forklift experience is highly desirable.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:A current driver's license is required.
